South Island : Day 4
Leave the river and spend the morning on Nosy Iranja Island. This perfect tropical island is the place to relax and soak up the sun on a white sand palm fringed beach with inviting calm, warm turquoise water.
After a beach lunch our skipper will take you on a sight-seeing walk (not the strap on hiking boots type... thongs and sarong / bathing suit will do) through the small local village, up the hill to the old decommissioned lighthouse .
The tour continues through the back of the village and lands up at the local fisherman's tavern.
Early afternoon we sail to Russian Bay, a beautiful calm anchorage also on the mainland.
